The Ohio Elks Association sponsored a Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival in the Secrest Dining Room at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 29.

They grilled hundreds of brats to feed the nursing home via the Secrest Dining Room, as well as served up a special event on their adopted unit, Special Care I.

In addition to the festival, there was a special dedication of the Special Care I park adjacent to the unit. After years of on again, off again efforts to open the park, the Ohio Elks came forward with more than $12,000 of funding to “get ‘r done!” It was quite a feat, and one of which to be proud. Marion Owens, representative, was diligent to see the project to fruition.

The park will allow residents a quiet, serene outdoor area that is safe and secure. We look forward to many years of enjoyment from this area, thanks to the Ohio Elks and Marion Owens!
Hats off for all your hard work!
